M&E ENGINEER

Job Summary

The M&E Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and managing all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works on construction projects. The role ensures that M&E installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise M&E installation works at project sites.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and submit method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and work schedules.
• Attend site meetings and resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on M&E works.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor project schedules and assist in project planning.
• Prepare progress reports and update project documentation.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of works.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in M&E construction projects.
• Knowledge of M&E systems, construction practices, and Singapore regulations.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Willing to work at project sites when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of BCA, SCDF, PUB, EMA, and other relevant authority requirements.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of M&E systems.
