Lead and manage all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works for commercial building projects from planning through completion.
Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate M&E activities with architects, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and budget to ensure timely project delivery.
Ensure all M&E installations comply with Singapore codes, statutory regulations, and project specifications.
Identify and resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and site coordination matters.
Attend site, technical, and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
Manage and supervise M&E subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
Review and verify progress claims, variation orders, procurement schedules, and material submissions.
Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
Ensure all project documentation, reports, as-built drawings, operation manuals, and maintenance records are properly maintained.
Support project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and cost control.
Promote and maintain compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and company safety policies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and site staff.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
At least 8 years of relevant experience managing M&E works for commercial buildings or large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, ACMV, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary, ELV, and building automation systems.
Good understanding of Singapore building regulations, statutory requirements, and industry standards.
Experience coordinating with consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong project management, planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software. Experience with AutoCAD and BIM coordination will be an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
