M&E Manager (Construction)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works for building construction projects from planning through completion.

• Review M&E design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements and statutory regulations.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on all M&E matters.

• Plan, monitor, and supervise M&E installation works to ensure quality, safety, and timely project delivery.

• Oversee M&E subcontractors and suppliers, including progress monitoring, quality control, and performance management.

• Identify design conflicts and technical issues, and provide practical solutions to minimise project delays.

• Ensure all M&E works comply with applicable statutory requirements.

• Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover activities.

• Prepare and review method statements, technical reports, shop drawings, material submissions, and as-built drawings.

• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on M&E progress, risks, and mitigation plans.

• Manage project schedules, manpower, and resources to achieve project milestones.

• Support tender reviews, value engineering, and cost control initiatives where required.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant M&E experience in building construction projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Experience managing M&E subcontractors and coordinating multiple disciplines.

• Good understanding of HVAC, ACMV, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection, electrical and ELV

• Familiarity with project planning and scheduling.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
