M&E PROJECT MANAGER

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from commencement to completion, ensuring that all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, statutory, and client requirements. The Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact between the company, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all project activities from initiation to completion to achieve project goals
• Develop detailed project schedules, work programs, and resource allocation plans to optimize efficiency
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables
• Coordinate site operations to ensure works comply with approved drawings and specifications
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities to resolve project-related matters
• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders to maintain transparency
• Manage contractual obligations and ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
• Resolve project issues, delays, and disputes promptly and professionally to minimize impact
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow to maintain financial control
• Review variation orders, claims, and project costing to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment to control costs
• Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective measures to keep projects within budget
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all project sites through regular inspections and risk assessments
• Obtain all necessary permits, inspections, and approvals required for project execution
• Lead and supervise project teams, site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance performance and collaboration
• Evaluate team performance and foster teamwork and effective communication among all project stakeholders
• Prepare and submit project reports, progress updates, and management reports to document project status
• Maintain proper project records, correspondence, and documentation for accountability and reference
• Monitor project deliverables to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare project completion reports and handover documentation to facilitate smooth project closure

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (explicitly stated as qualification)
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience in construction, engineering, electrical, or M&E projects (explicitly stated as experience)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Relevant professional certifications (not mandatory but advantageous)
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (preferred but not essential)

• Based in office and project sites as required
• Able to work beyond regular office hours when project demands require
• Reporting to Operations Director / Managing Director
