M&E Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cost estimation, tender preparation, progress claims, variation orders, subcontractor claims, cost control, and final accounts for M&E projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-off, cost estimates, quotations, tender documents and Bills of Quantities for M&E works.

• Handle progress claims, variation orders, subcontractor claims and final accounts.

• Review and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Monitor project costs and assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.

• Prepare cost reports, claim documents and other QS-related documentation.

• Attend project meetings and site meetings when required.

• Ensure all contractual and cost-related documents are properly maintained and updated.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Strong M&E QS experience will be an advantage.

• Able to handle tender, progress claim, variation order and final account independently.

• Familiar with Singapore construction or M&E project practices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ability to read M&E drawings. Knowledge of AutoCAD or QS measurement software will be an added advantage.

• Good communication, negotiation and coordination skills.

• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Candidates with experience in main contractor, M&E contractor or specialist contractor environments will have an added advantage.
