The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems within construction projects. This role ensures that all mechanical components — such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems — meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
Mechanical Design: Develop detailed mechanical layouts, schematics, and load calculations for building systems.
HVAC System Planning: Design and oversee heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Plumbing & Piping: Plan and supervise installation of water supply, drainage, and gas piping systems.
Fire Protection Systems: Design and coordinate fire suppression and safety systems according to building codes.
Installation Supervision: Monitor on-site installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to mechanical codes, workplace safety, and environmental regulations.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with electrical, civil, and architectural teams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, drawings, and progress updates for management and clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of construction mechanical systems and building codes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other mechanical design software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
