MECHANICAL ENGINEER (HEATING, VENTILATION AND REFRIGERATION)

Job Summary

Review and execute engineering designs for heating, ventilation, and refrigeration (HVR) systems. Lead coordination, supervision, and quality assurance on project sites to ensure timely, compliant, and safe project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to ensure accurate understanding before project commencement.
• Prepare engineering designs, perform calculations, select equipment, and develop technical submissions aligned with project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective project planning and execution.
• Develop detailed work schedules, method statements, and material procurement plans to support installation activities.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVR systems on project sites to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality, safety adherence, and conformity to project specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution to maintain project progress and quality.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports, inspection records, testing results, and other documentation for management review.
• Support project completion activities including system handover, defect rectification, and submission of as-built drawings and operation manuals.

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Willingness to work day or night shifts, including Sundays and Public Holidays, as required by project schedules.
