MEP CAD Drafter

Job Description

EDC Tech Pte. Ltd. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented MEP CAD Drafter to support ongoing building and infrastructure projects in Singapore. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and coordinating MEP shop drawings, as-built drawings, and BIM/CAD documentation in accordance with project and authority requirements.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in fast-paced construction environments and possess strong technical drafting and coordination capabilities across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software.
• Develop detailed MEP layouts based on engineer instructions, project specifications, and construction requirements.
• Coordinate with BIM Coordinators, Engineers, Consultants, and Site Teams to resolve clashes and technical issues.
• Ensure drawings comply with Singapore standards, authority requirements, and project submission guidelines.
• Support BIM coordination activities and update models/drawings based on site changes.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and documentation workflows.
• Assist in extracting quantities, schedules, and drawing information when required.
• Attend coordination meetings and support project delivery timelines.

Requirements

• Diploma or ITE qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Drafting, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in MEP drafting within Singapore construction projects.
• Proficient in:AutoCADAutodesk Revit (preferred)Navisworks (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction coordination workflows.
• Familiar with Singapore codes, standards, and submission requirements.
• Experience in BIM coordination and clash resolution is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BIM workflows and Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
• Knowledge of authority submission processes in Singapore.
• Exposure to healthcare, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of ISO 19650 or digital construction workflows is advantageous.
