Operations Manager

Job Description

APEX ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction projects and business activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee daily operations of construction and engineering projects.
• Coordinate manpower allocation, project schedules, materials, and equipment to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise project managers, site supervisors, and operational staff to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, MOM requirements, and company policies.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Review project performance and prepare operational reports for management.
• Manage project costs and resource utilization to maximize operational efficiency.
• Resolve operational issues and provide effective solutions to maintain project continuity.
• Support business development by assisting in tender preparation, project planning, and client relationship management.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction operations or project management.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore construction regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, and industry practices.
• Experience in managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
• Possession of relevant safety certifications is an advantage.
