PILLING ENGINEER

Roles and Responsibilities of a Piling Site Engineer

• Plan and coordinate daily piling activities in accordance with the project schedule.
• Supervise piling operations, including bored piles, driven piles, sheet piles, diaphragm walls, or other foundation works.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth site operations.
• Monitor work progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and identify potential safety hazards, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Verify pile locations, levels, alignment, and dimensions before and during construction.
• Monitor piling equipment performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs when required.
• Inspect materials delivered to the site and ensure they meet project specifications.
• Ensure quality control by conducting inspections, witness tests, and maintaining quality records.
• Coordinate with surveyors for setting out and checking pile positions and levels.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily work reports, equipment utilization, manpower records, and inspection reports.
  
  
  Key Competencies
• Strong knowledge of piling and foundation engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Requirements:

· Minimum 7 years’ piling civil site experience

· Experience in LTA project will be an added advantage

· Able to work under fast paced environment

· Degree in Civil Engineering
