Planning Manager (Construction)

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Review of the tender requirements/specifications in tender documents.
• Coordinate with the tender team on tender clarifications and submission.
• Prepare technical write up and tender presentation.
• Prepare comprehensive project master programs align to project timelines, and micro programme for critical tasks.
• Develop S-curves, baseline program and perform critical path analysis.
• Develop resources deployment plan base on master programme i.e. manpower and machinery deployment plan.
• Develop procurement plan base on master programme.
• Tracking of project progress and maintain accuracy of the project record. Prepare monthly report, highlight achievements and recommend mitigation solution if needed.
• Identifying potential issues on the project in advance and develop contingency plan to mitigate the effect of the issues or utilizing the opportunity arising from it.
• Tracking of programs with necessary information to substantial claims on EOT and VO.
• Productivity monitoring and identification of alternate approaches to optimize the plan.
• Keeps updated on the construction industry practices and standards and recommends ways to improve the planning and scheduling systems.
• To coordinate with design consultants and operation teams to develop technical proposal, manpower plan, equipment plan, etc. for specific construction activity,
• Attending and scheduling meetings and site visits when needed.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Certificates must be recognized by PE Board).
• At least 7 years of relevant working experience with hands on experience doing planning and scheduling for building projects.
• Good understanding of construction industry practices and standards to perform planning and scheduling.
• Competent user of relevant project planning and design software.
• Independent, result-oriented and self-driven team player with good communication, management, thinking and analytical and organizational skill.
• Candidates with more relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Understanding of safety protocols, ability to focus under pressure and meeting deadlines, strong multitasking abilities.
