G & W Precast Pte Ltd manufactures customized pre-stressed and reinforced precast concrete components for construction, including columns, beams, shear walls, facades, and fully furnished Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBU).

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Precast Drafter to produce accurate architectural and structural shop drawings for off-site precast concrete manufacturing. You will bridge design blueprints and factory production, ensuring structural elements meet engineering intent and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate precast shop drawings using AutoCAD to support off-site manufacturing
• Read, interpret, and analyze complex architectural and structural consulting blueprints to ensure design accuracy
• Identify design discrepancies, structural clashes, or missing information early and draft formal Requests for Information (RFIs) to clients and consultants
• Coordinate with internal project engineers, production managers, and external consultants to facilitate smooth fabrication and on-site assembly
• Implement amendments and update drawings promptly based on consultant feedback or site modifications, ensuring consistent formatting across all submittals
• Apply a meticulous eye for detail to maintain high-quality drawing standards
• Use strong problem-solving skills to resolve design and production issues during drafting and coordination
• Communicate proactively to manage the RFI process effectively and maintain project timelines

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience with precast concrete component detailing (e.g., columns, beams, facades, household shelters) is highly preferred and considered an added advantage

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum Diploma in Architectural, Civil & Structural Engineering, Building, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience drafting with AutoCAD in a professional environment
• Proven ability to read structural design layouts, architectural plans, reinforcement details, and connection notes
