Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in managing and monitoring the project progress
• Ensure that the project progress meets contractual requirements and timely delivery of contractual work-scope within allocated budget and committed project schedule
• Support, review and supervise all project related project documentations
• Liaise and work closely with Clients, Vendors, Procurement & Engineering and Site Construction Team to ensure required progress and effective delivery of contractual commitments
• Coordinate with various project disciplines including procurement & logistic, engineering & design, QA/QC, site construction & safety and testing & commissioning to ensure project goals are met
• Ensure the project adheres to quality standards and regulations
• Identify and resolve technical issues and problems that arise during the project
• Prepare progress reports and scheduling reports to Management and Client
• Conduct weekly meetings and prepare minutes of meeting
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors
• Review project deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
• Any other duties to be assigned from time to time

Pre-requisites:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role for EPC projects. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered for junior roles.
• Planning and project management skills with strong multitasking abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards. Also, a sound understanding of safety protocols
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• A strong team player with good time management and organization skills
• Strong analytical (problem solving), critical, and logical thinking skills
• Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels with other disciplines and client
• Willing to be based at construction site
