Project Engineer (Civil Engineering)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with civil engineering expertise in Road Infrastructure Works to manage road construction projects and ensure compliance with specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, to guide road construction projects
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to define and achieve project objectives
• Monitor project progress and performance, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies
• Review and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory standards, codes, and safety guidelines relevant to road infrastructure
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to verify adherence to project requirements and standards
• Promote a collaborative work environment by facilitating clear communication and problem-solving among team members
• Prepare and deliver progress reports, technical documentation, and project updates to stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and resource usage for transparency and accountability
• Communicate project status, milestones, and issues promptly to clients and stakeholders
• Address client concerns and inquiries professionally to maintain high levels of client satisfaction

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineer Board, Singapore, or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control
• Proven experience managing road infrastructure projects, preferably with LTA or similar agencies

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects involving roads, highways, or transportation systems
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management techniques

Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and stakeholders
