Job Description - Project Management Engineer

Job Description

A Project Management Engineer (PME) focuses on coordinating, managing, and monitoring project activities to ensure timely completion, cost-effectiveness, and quality delivery. Beyond core project coordination responsibilities, the PME will also drive digital transformation initiatives and contribute to the company’s ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) goals, leveraging technology and social engagement to enhance productivity and sustainability.

The Project Management Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that all project-related updates, communications, and collaborations are maintained on Monday.com, our designated productivity platform.

Reports to: Project Manager


Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Management

· Assist Project Managers in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing construction projects.

· Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of works.

· Track project progress against schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

· Support site teams in resolving day-to-day operational issues.

· Compile progress claims and progress reports for submission and review.

· Early involvement during the tender stage by participating in tender & design processes, conducting technical clearance during tender, and checking project profitability through value engineering and cost-saving ideas.

Documentation & Compliance

· Prepare, update, and maintain project documentation, including work schedules, reports, and method statements.

· Work closely with the Quality/Safety/Compliance/ESG Department on related aspects, including ISO compliance, GGBS, BCA, MOM, NEA, and other statutory or certification requirements.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, workplace safety standards, and company policies.

Digitalization & Productivity Enhancement

· Lead initiatives to adopt and implement digital tools and technologies for project management.

· Drive effective use of Monday.com for project planning, task tracking, communication, and document sharing.

· Explore and recommend digital solutions, engineering methodologies, or innovations that will improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.

· Promote digital collaboration among project stakeholders to improve transparency and accountability.

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)

Champion ESG initiatives at the project level, aligning with company goals.

Environmental: Contribute to minimising carbon footprints, reducing wastage, and measuring the carbon footprint of materials, equipment, and processes used in projects.

Social: Drive the social aspects of ESG by leading project team bonding, organising social events/activities that engage stakeholders or the public, and initiating CSR programs or activities that enhance the company's ESG standing and strengthen community ties. Promote awareness of ESG practices among project stakeholders, with emphasis on the social aspects that boost collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainability. Assist in workers’ welfare monitoring as well as the team’s training and development.

Governance: Ensure adherence to ethical standards, transparency, and good governance practices in project execution.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.

· Provide timely updates and reports on project progress, compliance, digital adoption, and ESG initiatives.
