Project Manager

• Location: Singapore (with Regional Operations in Greater China & Malaysia)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Project Manager to lead the design, execution, and delivery of advanced water treatment solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving the design for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), and Water Reclaim Plants. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing projects for high-tech and specialized industries, particularly Data Centres, Semiconductors (Ultra-Pure Water), and Specialty Chemicals. You will lead a dedicated engineering team based primarily in Singapore, while operating and expanding project footprints across Greater China and Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, engineering, and project management of WTP, WWTP, and reclaim plant systems from conceptualization through execution to ensure timely delivery
• Develop, review, and optimize Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) to support process engineering objectives
• Manage complex water infrastructure projects tailored to meet the strict technical and regulatory requirements of Data Centres, Semiconductor fabrication, and Specialty Chemical facilities
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, and project staff to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline
• Coordinate and travel regionally to manage project delivery across Greater China and Malaysia while maintaining operations in Singapore
• Serve as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project milestones
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and client specifications across all operating regions

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the water/wastewater treatment industry
• Strong process engineering skills with hands-on expertise in drafting and reviewing P&IDs
• Proficiency with drafting software such as AutoCAD or Plant 3D
• Deep knowledge of design and execution of WTP, WWTP, Reclaim Plants, and Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems, including EDI and UF membrane technologies
• Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate a technical engineering team while maintaining hands-on involvement

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Graduates from Project 985 universities in China or recognized institutions in Taiwan
• Prior project experience in Data Centres, Semiconductors, or Specialty Chemical sectors
• Business-level proficiency in Mandarin to facilitate communication and technical document review with clients and teams in Greater China
