Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling: Define the project scope, break down tasks, and develop comprehensive timelines and milestones.
Budget Management: Prepare project estimates, process bids, and manage project funds to prevent cost overruns.
Team Leadership: Recruit and supervise on-site labor and lead the project team, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
Safety& Compliance: Procure permits and ensure all on-site activities meet local building codes and rigorous occupational health and safety standards.
Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, verify materials, and ensure the work meets contractual specifications.
Risk Management: Identify potential delays or technical issues early and develop mitigation plans.
Qualifications Requirements
Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of construction procedures, engineering principles, and material logistics.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional ability to resolve conflicts, maintain accurate documentation, and manage client expectations.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in project management software and digital design tools like Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Education & Experience: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, alongside professional certifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP).
