About this company :
Singapore-based construction company involved in civil engineering and building-related projects.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support procurement operations for construction projects, including sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
Job Responsibilities :
Source and liaise with suppliers to obtain materials, products, and services at competitive prices.
Request quotations, compare prices, and assist in negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and follow up closely on order status and delivery arrangements.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to support project and operational needs.
Check supplier invoices against supporting documents such as Purchase Requisition, PO, and DO before submitting to Finance.
Coordinate local and overseas delivery, shipment, and logistics arrangements when required.
Maintain proper records of purchases, supplier information, quotations, and procurement documents.
Work closely with internal departments, project teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth procurement operations.
Perform other administrative or ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification.
At least 1–2 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
Experience in construction or engineering industry will be an advantage.
Good understanding of purchasing procedures and supplier coordination.
