Construction QAQC Manager
Responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring, and improving the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) system to ensure all works comply with project specifications, BCA requirements, consultants' requirements, ISO standards, and client expectations.
1. Quality Management System (QMS)
Develop and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP).
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Implement company quality policies and procedures.
Conduct periodic reviews and updates of quality documentation.
Lead quality audits and management review meetings.
2. Inspection & Testing Management
Establish Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
Ensure inspections are conducted according to approved procedures.
Monitor site inspections, material inspections, and testing activities.
Review and verify test reports from laboratories.
Ensure all quality records are properly maintained.
3. Quality Control of Construction Works
Monitor structural, architectural, M&E, and finishing works.
Ensure works comply with:
o Approved drawings
o Method Statements
o Specifications
o BCA requirements
o Consultant requirements
Identify non-conformance and recommend corrective actions.
4. Non-Conformance Management
Manage NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).
Investigate quality defects and root causes.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Track closure of NCRs.
5. CONQUAS & Quality Assessment
Lead project preparation for BCA CONQUAS assessment.
Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors on quality improvement.
Conduct mock inspections.
Monitor quality performance trends.
6. Subcontractor Quality Management
Evaluate subcontractor quality performance.
Conduct quality briefings and training.
Ensure subcontractors comply with project quality requirements.
Participate in subcontractor selection and evaluation.
7. Documentation & Records Management
Maintain:
o Material approvals
o Inspection records
o Test reports
o Method statements
o Quality checklists
o As-built quality records
Ensure proper document control procedures.
8. Staff Training & Competency Development
Conduct quality awareness training.
Train engineers and supervisors on QAQC requirements.
Promote continuous improvement culture.
9. Handover & Defect Management
Manage project quality handover process.
Coordinate pre-TOP and CSC inspections.
Monitor defects rectification.
Ensure timely closure of defect lists.
