Job Description - QS & Contract Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full quantity surveying process from tender to final account.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
  • Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate the best commercial terms.
  • Prepare, review, and administer contracts and subcontracts.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and payments.
  • Prepare monthly project cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Handle contractual correspondence, claims, extension of time (EOT), and dispute resolution.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and minimize commercial risks.
  • Lead and mentor the QS team where required.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in M&E/Electrical projects will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control.
  • Familiar with Singapore construction practices and standard forms of contract (e.g. SIA, PSSCOC, NEC, FIDIC).
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS-related software.
