QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration for construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents to support construction project planning and execution
• Conduct thorough cost analysis and monitor project expenditures to ensure financial control
• Evaluate and process subcontractor quotations and claims to maintain project cost accuracy
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to support contract administration
• Perform site measurements and valuations of work completed to verify project progress
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate project coordination
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements to mitigate risks
• Provide financial reporting and cost control advice to project teams to support informed decision-making

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related field
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Quantity Surveying-related software
• Demonstrated analytical, negotiation, and communication skills applied in project contexts
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines consistently

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in local Singapore landed and small construction projects
• Familiarity with BCA regulations and standard forms of contract (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC)
