Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions to support project bidding and budgeting.

Evaluate subcontractor quotations and claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.

Monitor project costs and budget performance to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.

Prepare progress claims and variation orders to facilitate timely project payments and contract adjustments.

Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings to determine material and labor requirements accurately.

Liaise effectively with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to coordinate project activities and resolve issues.

Required competencies and certifications

Apply knowledge of construction contracts and cost control to manage project financials effectively.

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and prepare reports.

Utilize negotiation and analytical skills to assess subcontractor claims and optimize project costs.

Hold a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.
