Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of façade projects from tender through to final account. You will work closely with project managers, procurement teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and commercial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from architectural and construction drawings.

• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates for façade packages.

• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Analyze quotations and recommend the most cost-effective procurement strategies.

• Conduct value engineering and cost optimisation exercises.

• Assist in tender clarifications and negotiations with clients and consultants.

Post-Contract

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of façade projects.

• Prepare project budgets, cost plans and cash flow forecasts.

• Monitor project costs against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Prepare monthly progress claims, payment applications and supporting documentation.

• Evaluate subcontractor claims and certify progress payments.

• Manage variation orders, extension of time claims and contractual correspondence.

• Track project costs, commitments and revenue throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare and negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

• Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.

Procurement & Cost Control

• Procure façade materials including aluminium systems, glass, steel components, sealants, brackets and associated hardware.

• Work closely with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing while ensuring compliance with project specifications.

• Monitor material price fluctuations and advise management on procurement strategies.

• Assist in supplier evaluation and contract administration.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Design Teams and Site Engineers.

• Attend project meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

• Review contract documents and identify commercial risks.

• Ensure contractual compliance throughout project execution.

• Support project teams in resolving commercial and contractual issues.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant quantity surveying experience. Experience in façade, aluminium, curtain wall, glazing or building envelope works will be an advantage.

• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in façade construction are encouraged to apply.

• Good understanding of construction contracts, tendering and cost management.

• Ability to interpret architectural, structural and shop drawings.

• Knowledge of standard methods of measurement and construction practices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, CostX, Glodon or QS software will be an added advantage.

• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

• Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility and commercial awareness.
