Quantity Surveyor Cum Drafter

Job Summary

CY Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor cum Drafter to support our tendering and project teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender preparation, AutoCAD drafting and project documentation for building construction and A&A projects. Similar roles in Singapore commonly combine QS responsibilities with drafting, including BOQs, quotations, AutoCAD drawings and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs and cost estimates.

Prepare quotations, tender submissions and cost comparisons.

Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare cost analysis.

Prepare progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.

Prepare and revise AutoCAD shop drawings, construction drawings and as-built drawings.

Review architectural, structural and M&E drawings.

Attend site measurements and verify actual quantities.

Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Prepare material schedules and procurement quantities.

Maintain tender records, drawings and project documentation.

Assist in contract administration and project cost control.

Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry preferred.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Able to read and interpret construction drawings.

Good knowledge of quantity take-off, tendering and cost estimation.

Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsible, organised and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role requires coordination with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Experience in building construction, A&A and landed residential projects is an advantage.
