Quantity Surveyor (HQ Office Based- Central area)

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Head Office Based)
Salary: $5,000 – $6,000 per month
Work Schedule: 5-day work week
Benefits: Performance bonus paid twice a year + Transport allowance

Responsibilities:

• Measure quantities for projects (using Cost X, Glodon, or manually), get supplier quotes, analyze costs, compare tenders, and put together submission documents. Handle any queries or changes that come up during the tender stage.

• Prepare price comparison sheets, recommend which contractors to award jobs to, and manage the paperwork for purchase orders and subcontract agreements.

• Prepare monthly cost reports, check actual spending against the budget, track cash flow, and forecast future costs. You’ll also control site expenses, review how costs are allocated, and double-check project spending with the site team.

• Handle all contract-related tasks, keep proper records, and coordinate with everyone involved. Spot and assess Variation Orders, figure out how they affect time and cost, and lead the negotiation to settle final accounts with both clients and subcontractors.

• Attend project and technical meetings to advise on cost issues. Also process subcontractor claims and progress payments, making sure all measurements are accurate so we don’t overpay anyone.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant working experience with a main contractor in Singapore.
