Reality Capture & Construction Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute the acquisition of Reality Capture (Inclusive of Laser scans) data in the field.
• Skilfully process and register Reality Capture data to generate accurate digital 3D representations of the built environment.
• Publish and distribute Reality Capture data to ensure project deliverables are met in a timely manner.
• Ensure strict adherence to Exyte and the Client’s corporate standards for Reality Capture activities, requirements, and workflows.
• Collaborate within project workflows, engaging with stakeholders across teams, subcontractors, and within Exyte to facilitate project success.
• Establish a robust control network for georeferencing of Reality Capture data sets, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with field engineers to develop and optimize standards operating procedures for various Reality Capture use cases.
• Work closely with cross-functional project teams to identify and resolve constraints, conducting market solution scanning and evaluation, as necessary.
• Create engaging marketing materials to promote the adoption of Reality Capture and robotics technologies.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and resolve pain points in Reality Capture workflows.
• Provide training materials and contents for the use of Reality Capture datasets in BIM platforms.
• Assists the Engineering design team to produce design drawings such as site plans, layouts, sections, elevations and details.
• Produces 2D/3D deliverables based on design and construction schedule.
• Assistson computing material take off from 3D BIM model when required.
• Works with other discipline designers and sub-contractors to support inter-discipline and space coordination works.
• Attending SPM/ BIM coordination meeting, representing Architectural discipline and taking necessary action on reviewing and resolving clashes.
• MEP Coordination - Provides space design recommendation to design and construction team; Coordinates with engineers to resolve any clash problems on site

• Scanning using laser scanners or using 360° cameras
• Work with Vendor on Data Exchange platform system setting up
• Preparation of standard operating procedures including safety procedures

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Geospatial Science, Surveying, or an equivalent field.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the Built Environment, including field operations and construction BIM/AEC.
• At least 3 years of practical experience with Reality Capture technologies such as 3D LiDAR scanning and 360photogrammetry applications.
• Expertise in VDC and construction BIM-to-field-to-BIM workflows, along with end-to-end digital field technologies, including robotics and automation.
• Familiarity with laser scanning equipment from FARO and Leica Geosystems or similar laser scanner.
• Proficient in point cloud post-processing using software like FARO Scene and Leica Regis-ter360/Cyclone or similar applications.
• Experience in laser scanning technology,including point cloud registration and modelling.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in construction site environments.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• A deep understanding of Reality Capture ecosystem, including its benefits, limitations, and applications in the Built Environment, especially in construction.
• A solid understanding of the construction industry and its processes.
• Exhibit the ability to read and interpret architectural floorplans and various construction documents.
• Maintain an excellent and professional attitude in all interactions and activities.
• Conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity and ethical standards.
• Be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
• Possess the physical fitness required for activities that may involve standing for extended periods and navigating uneven terrain and surfaces.
