Regional Director – Data Center Advisory & Network Strategy (APAC)

Overview

A global advisory firm is looking to appoint a senior commercial leader to drive its data center advisory and digital infrastructure practice across Asia-Pacific.

This role focuses on working closely with hyperscalers, colocation operators, developers, and infrastructure investors, providing strategic guidance on data center network expansion, resilience, and operational strategy.

You will play a key role in shaping how clients approach mission-critical infrastructure risk, connectivity, and long-term scalability across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

Data Center Advisory & Network Strategy

• Lead advisory engagements focused on data center network planning, redundancy, and performance optimisation
• Provide guidance across the full lifecycle of data center assets, from development through operations
• Support clients in aligning technical infrastructure with commercial and operational objectives
• Advise on uptime, resilience, and service continuity across multi-site platforms

Client Leadership & Industry Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across hyperscalers, colocation providers, and infrastructure funds
• Build and expand relationships within the data center ecosystem across APAC
• Represent the business at industry events, client meetings, and strategic discussions
• Identify and drive new opportunities within emerging digital infrastructure markets

Infrastructure Risk & Advisory

• Provide insights on risk exposure across design, construction, and operations of data center assets
• Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies linked to power, cooling, and network architecture
• Support complex projects requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders, geographies, and delivery partners
• Work closely with technical teams to bridge engineering considerations with business strategy

Commercial Strategy & Solution Development

• Lead high-value client engagements, including regional pursuits and complex solution structuring
• Develop tailored advisory strategies that integrate technical, commercial, and operational factors
• Collaborate across internal functions to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions
• Stay ahead of market trends across digital infrastructure, data center design, and network innovation

Requirements

Experience

• 8+ years within data centers, digital infrastructure, or mission-critical environments
• Strong background in client-facing advisory, consulting, or strategic business development roles
• Proven experience working with regional or multi-country projects
• Prior engagement with hyperscalers, operators, or infrastructure investors is highly advantageous

Technical & Industry Understanding

• Strong knowledge of data center operations, network design, and infrastructure systems (power & cooling)
• Understanding of service level expectations, uptime requirements, and operational reliability
• Familiarity with risk frameworks and resilience planning for mission-critical environments
• Exposure to infrastructure investment and stakeholder structures is a plus

Profile

• Commercially strong with experience leading complex client engagements or strategic initiatives
• Able to translate technical detail into clear, actionable advisory insights
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and scale a regional practice
