RESIDENT ENGINEER

Overview

The Resident Engineer will provide full-time supervision during construction projects to ensure work aligns with design specifications, statutory requirements and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Site supervision &Coordination:

- Leading on-site inspections civil works.

- Coordinate daily workflow between contractors and consultants.

• Quality Assurance (QA)& Quality Control (QC):

- Witnessing material testing.

- Verifying material compliance.

- Identifying faulty workmanship

- Issue rectifications for any non-compliance with statutory requirements

• Safety & Compliance Enforcement:

- Monitor safety and environmental health standards to ensure site complies with local authorities.

- Ensure contractors adhere to risk management protocols.

• Progress Tracking & Reporting:

- Keeping daily logs of site activities.

- Checking project timelines.

- Monitor progress against contract charts.

• Claims Verification:

- Reviewing and verifying technical documents.  

- Progress claims and variations submitted by main contractors.

• Report to Resident Technical Officer.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction supervision and project management.

• Possess a valid Resident Engineer (RE) certificate accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC).

• Deep understanding of local building codes, statutory regulations and construction methods.

Details

• 5.5 days per week.

• 8 hours per day.

• Transportation and accommodation to be provided by Resident Engineer.
