Resident Technical Officer (HDB projects)

Job Scope

Carry out the supervision of building works as stipulated in the Building Control Act, working under the control and direction of the appropriate Qualified Person when carry out their supervision and fully responsible to the appropriate Qualified Person.

Supervise the Arch, C&S and M&E works to ensure compliance with contract documents and acceptable standard of workmanship and take instruction from LC, QPs and TPs.

Arrange and supervise acceptance tests on site.

Check and monitor that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner.

Check and monitor for good housekeeping.

Ensure proper documentation and records of all works, including records of test, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material testing and safety inspections.

Check and monitor performance of workplace safety, health and environmental measures housekeeping on site and initiate preventive/corrective actions.

Facilitate joint checks/inspections/testing’s/handover by HDB representatives or relevant parties to ensure compliance with HDB and relevant authorities’ requirements. Such checks/inspections/testing’s shall be on aspects such as quality, safety, cost control, housekeeping, environmental control, documentation, site records etc.

Assist PM in attending and address residents’ request/feedback.

Any other works, as and required by the Client as stipulated in the project contract’s requirements.

Requirement

• Must be accredited as a Resident Technical Officer with BCA/IES/ACES
• Min. 3-5 years’ site working experience in Singapore, Arch, C&S and M&E in building projects
• Good supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills, mathematical acumen, time management aptitude and the ability to solve complex problems
