Resident Technical Officer (M & E)

Job Summary

We are hiring a Resident Technical Officer (Mechanical & Electrical) for an industrial building construction Project in the Woodlands area. This role requires holding an RTO (M&E) certificate from IES.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with the Building Control Act and approved drawings
• Monitor and verify that mechanical and electrical works are executed according to project specifications and standards
• Collaborate with the Resident Engineer to resolve site and construction-related issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth site operations
• Coordinate with team members to maintain project timelines and quality standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Registration with IES as Resident Technical Officer (M&E)
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising civil and structural construction works
• Demonstrated communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Contract duration: 1 year
• Site address: Woodlands
• Working hours: Monday to Friday – 8.30 am to 5.30 pm | Saturday – 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
• Probation period: 1 months
• Notice period: 1 month during probation, 2 months after confirmation

• Basic salary range: Negotiable
