Safety Coordinator

1.      Key Responsibilities of a Safety Coordinator cum Solar Panel Supervisor on Construction Sites

2.      Safety Management & Compliance

a.      Develop and implement site-specific safety policies in line with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and BCA guidelines

b.      Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, ISO standards, and company safety protocols

c.      Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain safe work practices

3.      Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

a.      Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards

b.      Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate risks

c.      Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined spaces, and electrical installations

4.      Incident Management

a.      Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions

b.      Prepare detailed incident reports and follow up on corrective actions

c.      Maintain an incident register and ensure timely reporting to authorities

5.      Training & Briefings

a.      Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and induction sessions for workers

b.      Ensure all workers are trained in relevant safety procedures and emergency protocols

c.      Support upgrading efforts like SEC(K), CoreTrade, and CET certifications

6.      Documentation & Audits

a.      Maintain safety documentation including:

b.      Risk Assessments (RA)

c.      Safe Work Procedures (SWP)

d.      Permit-to-Work (PTW)

e.      Training records and inspection logs

f.        Prepare for and assist in MOM/BCA audits and inspections

7.      Site Coordination

a.      Participate in site coordination meetings to align safety with project progress

Communicate effectively with multicultural teams, including Bangladeshi ,Myanmar and

Indian workers
