Safety Officer (Data Center Retrofit Project) West

Job Description:

We are seeking a committed and proactive Safety Officer cum Environmental Control Officer to support our Data Centre Retrofit Project. The Safety Officer shall be deployed full-time on site and be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining workplace safety and health standards throughout the project duration.

This position is based on a 1-year contract, with opportunity for extension or permanent placement subject to good performance and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full-time safety supervision at the project site.
• Ensure all work activities comply with Singapore WSH regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, work at height, hot works, electrical works, and confined space activities.
• Attend client meetings, coordination meetings, toolbox meetings, and safety walkthroughs.
• Prepare and update safety reports, inspection records, incident reports, and safety progress updates to the client and management.
• Ensure Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), permits, and Method Statements are properly implemented on site.
• Conduct safety briefings and toolbox meetings for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives on all safety matters.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and maintain good housekeeping standards on site.
• Support safety audits, inspections, and compliance checks by authorities and clients.

Requirements:

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer / Coordinator under MOM Singapore.
• Experience in Data Center, M&E, or retrofit projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and industry best practices.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
• Proficient in preparing safety documentation and reports.
• Willing to work full-time on site.
