Job Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with clients within the construction industry. The role involves promoting construction services, building materials, renovation works, or engineering solutions to achieve sales targets and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction sector to drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, architects, and project owners to secure repeat business
  • Source new projects by conducting market research, networking, and leveraging referrals
  • Prepare and present accurate quotations, proposals, and tender submissions to potential clients
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to assess project requirements and tailor solutions accordingly
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to maximize profitability and client satisfaction
  • Follow up promptly on sales enquiries and project opportunities to maintain engagement
  • Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address client concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market updates to inform management decisions
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by management through effective sales strategies
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects to identify new opportunities

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma in Business, Marketing, Building, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills demonstrated through client interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for preparing sales documents and reports
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and manage pressure

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience working with contractors, developers, architects, or consultants in the construction sector
  • Possession of a valid Class 3 Driving Licence and own transport to facilitate site visits and client meetings
