Senior Civil & Structural Engineer

• HQ at Changi Business Park [ Expo MRT ]
• Work both in the office and at project sites
• Mon to Fri, from 8.30am to 5.15pm
• Salary is $5,000 - $6,500 + Variable Bonus [ No AWS ]

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in building construction, with substantial experience working for A1 Main Contractors
3. Experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial projects is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and management of construction projects from initial stages through to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed project schedules, track progress, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines.
• Work with architects and engineers to review construction plans, ensuring designs are feasible and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough feasibility studies and risk assessments to proactively identify potential challenges and provide innovative solutions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications through regular site inspections, monitoring construction activities, and addressing any non-compliance issues.
• Supervise day-to-day construction operations, ensuring on-time completion and adherence to budget constraints while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive site safety plans and protocols, working in tandem with safety personnel to foster a culture of safety within project teams.
• Monitor and analyse project expenditure, assisting in the preparation of budget forecasts to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Other duties as assigned by the HOD - Engineering or Project Management Team.
