Senior/ QAQC Engineer

Job Description:

• Ensure the quality of all construction work performed on site are in accordance with the company's QAQC requirement.
• Develop, review, and implement welding procedures, construction methodologies, WPS/PQR documentation, and quality control requirements in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct welding inspections, welder qualification tests, mechanical and chemical testing, NDT reviews, fit-up inspections, and final structural inspections to ensure quality, safety, and project compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and construction personnel to resolve technical issues, monitor welding performance and productivity, reduce repair rates, and ensure successful project execution.
• Visit project sites, arrange and conduct QAQC inspections on mainly Structural Works and Architectural Works.
• Assist project teams in the preparation of project specific CONQUAS/Quality Management assessment by BCA with specific contract requirements.
• Ensure workmanship, procedures and method statements are in accordance to specified standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to BCA’s good industry practice.
• Ensure that all project quality records and quality audit plans are maintained.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirement:

• At least Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in welding inspection, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), or fabrication/construction projects within the tunneling, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Experience in conducting inspections, reviewing test reports, monitoring welding activities, and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and engineering teams.
• To be based in project site office.
• Working Location: Station at West Area First and will move to Bayfront site office when ready.
