Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Assist the Contract Manager in conducting cost estimates, cost planning, and cost management to support project budgeting
• Prepare contracts and related documentation to ensure compliance and clarity in project agreements
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and manage procurement processes effectively
• Assist in preparing budgets and presenting cost information to stakeholders for informed decision-making
• Support billing processes by preparing accurate invoices and payment documentation
• Evaluate progress payments, variation orders (VOs), and conduct cost-benefit analyses to monitor project financial health
• Process variation orders by reviewing and approving changes to project scope and costs
• Verify subcontractors’ and suppliers’ monthly progress claims and obtain necessary approvals before preparing payment certificates

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or Quantity Surveying
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in MRT construction projects

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working on Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects is an advantage
• Demonstrated responsibility, positive work attitude, and leadership skills
• Ability to commence work on short notice
