Senior Resident Engineer (C&S)

Job Responsibilities:

• Managed team of site supervisors/RTOs
• Work with QP to resolve all design and technical issues arising from the construction works
• Review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commence on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project
• Review the civil and structural design documentation submission from contractor such as temporary designs, method statements and test reports.
• Supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, approved sketches, product or system specifications, contractor’s method statements, installation and working procedures and site instruction
• Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices and requirement of building authorities and government agencies
• Report to the supervising Qualified Persons any work that are not constructed according to the building approved plans, project drawings including shop drawings
• Assist to resolve all site issues, including coordination with adjacent/nearby construction sites and report to the respective project consultants, supervising Qualified Persons and appointed project manager
• Observe and comply with site safety, and submit all reports as directed and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a Civil and Structural (C&S) engineer, including at least 6 years in the supervision of works for projects of similar scale and complexity, particularly major building construction works. The SRE shall have completed at least one project in the capacity of SRE. Relevant experience may include deep excavation, viaduct work, foundation systems, and ground improvement work.
• Prior exposure to airside work environments and requirements is preferred.
• Possess a C&S engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore
• Relevant experience in deep excavation, foundation systems, ground improvement works, viaduct works and/or railway projects is preferred.
