Service Engineer (Lift / Escalator Maintenance)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily maintenance operations to minimize lift and escalator breakdowns and ensure service reliability
• Manage service operations, ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and workplace safety standards
• Monitor call-back rates and non-operational units, implementing corrective and preventive measures to improve performance
• Handle customer feedback and complaints, conducting inspections and site visits to ensure service delivery and satisfaction
• Develop and motivate service teams through coaching, performance appraisal, counselling, and reward initiatives
• Build and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, customers, and external service providers
• Collaborate with sales teams to identify, propose, and follow up on repair and modernization opportunities through to successful implementation
• Conduct cost analysis and monitor parts and manpower utilization to ensure alignment with profitability targets
• Support operational improvement initiatives and assigned projects to ensure smooth workflow

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the lift and escalator industry with sound technical knowledge of lift and escalator systems
• Experience in service operations management and customer relationship management is an added advantage
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Proven capability in team leadership, staff development, and motivation
