Site Engineer – Depot Equipment (MRT)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Site Engineer specializing in Depot Equipment for a major MRT Line project in Singapore. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful engineering, installation, and testing of critical depot systems, including Train Wash Plants, Lifting Equipment, and Underfloor Wheel Lathes. You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and LTA stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the engineering, installation, and testing phases for Depot equipment within large-scale rail projects.
• Manage design and testing deliverables, including leading clarification meetings with clients and System Wide Contractors.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive documentation, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Integration Tests (ITC), and Total Test Records (TTR).
• Develop detailed Method Statements for the delivery and installation of Depot Equipment.
• Execute site acceptance tests with precision, ensuring all systems meet technical specifications and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the Installation Manager to supervise on-site works and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Support the Quality Manager in conducting audits on Depot Equipment suppliers.
• Coordinate with various interface partners, T&C teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless project integration.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in railway infrastructure projects, specifically within a project management or site engineering capacity.
• Direct experience with LTA (Land Transport Authority) projects in Singapore is highly preferred.
• Proven knowledge of Depot Equipment installation, including Train Wash Plants, Lifting Equipment, and Underfloor Wheel Lathes.
• Strong ability to interpret Civil Combined Services Drawings (CSD) and Structural, Electrical & Mechanical (SEM) drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
