Site Engineer (Landed Property Development)

Julian Grey’s client is a main contractor specialising in landed residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structural and civil works for landed residential projects from site commencement through completion.
• Plan and coordinate daily site activities with consultants, subcontractors and other project disciplines.
• Check construction drawings and technical documents before work proceeds, and highlight any discrepancies or constructability concerns.
• Review work procedures, reinforcement details, shop drawings, temporary works proposals and other technical submissions.
• Supervise key structural activities such as formwork installation, steel reinforcement placement and concrete works.
• Verify that works are executed according to approved plans, project specifications and applicable localregulations.
• Resolve technical and site coordination issues by recommending practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Track work progress, workmanship and site safety, and take corrective action where required.
• Support inspections, submissions and coordination with professional engineers, site supervision teams and government agencies.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in landed housing, residential construction or general building projects.
• Sound knowledge of structural construction processes and Singapore building requirements.
• Able to read technical drawings and assess site-related engineering issues.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving abilities.
