Job Title: Technical Specification Engineer (Waterproofing & Building Chemicals)

### Key Responsibilities

• Prescription & Technical Specifications: Meet with architects, consultants, and developers early in the design phase to present Mapei waterproofing technologies.

• Technical Advisory & Submittals: Provide highly technical written and spoken recommendations, method statements, and cross-sectional drawing details to clients for underground basements, podiums, wet areas, and roofs.

• Project Tracking & Pipeline Management: Identify, track, and monitor upcoming private and public construction projects from inception to tender phase, ensuring our specified position is maintained against competitors.

• Product & Application Training: Conduct technical seminars, lunchtime presentations ("Continuous Professional Development" or CPD sessions), and training for external consultants and internal sales teams regarding new technology and waterproofing standards.

• On-site Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Collaborate with the technical service team to resolve site application issues, conduct mock-ups, and verify that site substrates meet the manufacturer's specification requirements.

### Job Requirements & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Material Science, Building Materials, Materials Engineering, or Architecture.

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in technical specification, technical sales, or engineering roles specifically related to waterproofing systems, concrete repair, or building chemicals.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of waterproofing material properties (e.g., crack-bridging capabilities, elongation, hydrostatic pressure resistance) and familiarity with regional building codes (such as Hong Kong's Architectural Services Department General Specification for Building or Singapore's BCA regulations).

• Soft Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to effectively engage and influence high-level project stakeholders.
