Structural Steel Detailer/Draftsman

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to prepare technical drawings and secure submission approvals
• Generate accurate material take-offs to support project planning and procurement
• Develop detailed shop fabrication drawings for structural steel works to guide manufacturing
• Create cutting plans to optimize material procurement and minimize waste
• Produce additional drawings and support fabrication and installation activities as required by QA/QC teams and Engineers
• Manage ad-hoc duties including coordination of related site matters to ensure project continuity

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in metal and steel structural drafting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and BIM software

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Singapore Structural Steel Society (SSSS) – Structural Steel Engineer (StEr) certification (advantageous)
