Structural Steel Engineer

Job Description

• Design,analyze, and review structural steel systems in accordance with projectspecifications and relevant codes and standards.

• Prepare structural calculations, connection designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Review fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and material specifications to ensure technical accuracy.

• Provide technical support during fabrication, erection, and site installation activities.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and quality standards.

• Resolve engineering and construction issues promptly while maintaining project schedules.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in structural steel engineering , steel fabrication, or steel construction projects.
• Proficientin structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS,Tekla Structures, AutoCAD , or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of structural steel design codes (Eurocode, BS, AISC, or relevant standards)
• Experience coordinating with fabrication workshops and site construction teams will be an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
