Subsystem Engineer (Signaling) #HAC

Jobscope:

1. Maintain and troubleshoot signaling systems

• AVP / AVO – Automated vehicle protection and operation systems that control train movements.
• CBI (Computer-Based Interlocking) – Safety-critical system that prevents conflicting train routes and collisions.
• VD / AVS – Systems that monitor train positions, vehicle status, and operations.
• Wayside Equipment – Trackside devices such as sensors and signaling equipment.
• PDGC, SLC, Station Device Boxes – Field equipment that interfaces with trains and control systems.
• Communication Networks & Data Logging Systems – Networks that allow signaling equipment to communicate and record operational data.

2. Preventive maintenance

• Perform scheduled inspections.
• Review maintenance procedures.
• Ensure equipment remains in good condition.
• Identify potential failures before they happen.

3. Root cause analysis

• Investigate the incident.
• Analyse logs and system data.
• Determine the actual root cause.
• Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

4. Safety and compliance

• Maintenance follows airport requirements.
• Rail safety regulations are complied with.
• Engineering procedures are properly documented.
• Maintenance records are accurate and complete.

5. Material and spare parts management

• Availability of critical spare parts.
• Inventory of signaling equipment.
• Replacement planning for aging components.

6. Stakeholder management

Internal teams

• Design Office

• Client
• Equipment vendors
• Subcontractors

Requirement:

• Min Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
• Have 3-5 years of experience in Railway/ Transport
