Job Description - SUPERVISOR AND GENERAL FOREMAN IN CONSTRUCTION

To assist the Project Manager and Project Engineer in the daily execution of work.
To supervise the work of sub-contractors and in-house workers.
To work closely with other site operations staff to meet the project schedule.
Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings.
To monitor the progress and quality of work being performed by workers.
Ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship.
Attend the daily tool-box meeting and convey clear instruction accordingly.
Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of work.
Oversee day to day operations of the facility.
Schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting to all activities relating to the project.
Monitor and control material management on site as to ensure proper storage and unnecessary wastage.
Foster positive communications and relationships with team members, management, vendors and clients.
Provide for site safety and security, devise and implement site policies and procedures.
Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures, prepare and file accident reports.
Supervise and evaluate staff, complete employee reviews; keep accurate records of employee attendance and timesheets; provide positive direction to motivate quality performance, discipline personnel when necessary and appropriate.
Set project goals and oversee projects to completion, schedule and track assignments.
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Liase and work closely with contractor, client.
Proactive, good team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
