Supervisor / General Foreman (M&E)

The client is a specialized M&E subcontracting company providing plumbing, sanitary, electrical, turbine & pumps, fire protection design, and hydraulic works services.

Job Summary

Responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical and electrical works at the project site to ensure that all works are completed safely, correctly, and according to the approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical and electrical installation works to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards
• Plan and allocate manpower, tools, equipment, and materials to optimize site productivity and resource utilization
• Coordinate electrical, plumbing, sanitary, ACMV, fire protection, and other M&E works to maintain seamless project progress
• Verify compliance of works with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and authority requirements through regular inspections
• Conduct site inspections to monitor workmanship quality and track project progress against schedule
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, main contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to resolve site issues and avoid delays
• Identify site clashes, issues, and delays promptly and propose effective corrective actions to maintain workflow
• Brief workers daily on work activities and safety requirements to ensure clear communication and safe operations
• Enforce workplace safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements to maintain a safe working environment
• Monitor material usage and coordinate timely delivery of materials to prevent work stoppages
• Maintain accurate daily records of manpower, progress, inspections, and site activities for reporting and audit purposes
• Participate in site meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure project milestones are met
• Inspect completed works before requesting consultant or main contractor inspections to ensure quality standards
• Ensure prompt rectification of defects and outstanding works to maintain project quality and client satisfaction
• Train and guide workers, chargehands, and junior supervisors to develop team capabilities and improve site performance
• Perform additional site duties as assigned by the Project Manager or M&E Engineer to support project objectives
