Job Description - Technical Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Technical Manager to oversee the technical coordination of our custom cabinetry and furniture projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with production and installation teams, conducting site measurements, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and revise shop drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Translate design concepts into production-ready drawings.
  • Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions before production.
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and material specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with the production team to ensure accurate manufacturing.
  • Liaise with procurement on materials, hardware, and technical requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical support throughout production and installation.
  • Resolve technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, designers, and consultants when required.
  • Ensure completed products meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and drawing revisions.
  • Support continuous improvement in production processes and product quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Wood Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the cabinet, carpentry, or furniture manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of SketchUp or other design software will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of custom cabinetry, built-in furniture, woodworking processes, and furniture hardware.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
  • Experience in preparing shop drawings, BOM, and production drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a positive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and attention to detail
