Job Title:Technical Sales & Support Specialist - Industrial Coatings
Location: Singapore
Position Overview:
The Technical Sales & Support Specialist is a key player in driving sales and promoting our industrial coatings solutions, reporting directly to the Technical Manager. This role involves taking an active role in pre & post-sales, technical product applications and supports the sales team in managing the territory’s distributors, channel partners and customers network for sales growth.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related experience in technical customer service and quotation processing with a preference for candidates with strong background in protective coatings and various floor coatings installation methods.
- Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in sales techniques, Microsoft Office, and MS CRM software.
Major Responsibilities:
- Foster positive sales relationships with existing customers, channel partners, and end-users while also visiting potential new customers to gain insights into user needs and industry trends.
- Responsible for providing support for product and technical recommendations for project specifications.
- Supporting company's sales goals are met in the assigned product in the assigned territory, to include retaining and/or increasing market share, and sales and profit volumes.
- Perform on site visits to end-users, show willingness to work within environments where our products are used, such as plants or outdoor applications, in accordance with end users’ requirements and practices.
- Apply mock-ups at customer premises.
- Takes an active role in coaching distribution personnel and evaluating their competency in the support of all the brands, products, and services.
- Develop customer quotations as needed, and review vs application requirements to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in meeting customer needs.
- Forecast and track key account metrics in support of growth.
- Utilize all available sales tools, reports, data sources, and CRM to manage daily activity and provide required sales opportunity and forecasting input.
- Conducting technical training to distributors/key customers.
- Installation and technical support of coating solutions.
- Collect and report trends and strategies of competitors, and ongoing customer feedback to Sales Management.
- Actively seeks out and participates in both formal and informal personal training opportunities, to maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and industry changes.

- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
