TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER

Job Description

•     Provide planning of tunnelling operations from a safety, quality, and productivity viewpoint.

•     Provide engineering supervision to bored tunnelling operations, including TBM parameter control, final ring selection, and key selection.

•     Monitor and manage TBM excavation parameters for EPB and Slurry type TBMs; oversee backfill grouting, segment delivery, and cutterhead interventions (CHI).

•     Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with the WSH Act, project protocols, and client quality/safety requirements.

•     Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and SafeWork Procedures for tunnelling activities.

•     Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients(LTA/PUB), subcontractors, and suppliers.

•     Support TBM assembly, conversion, and dismantling works in coordination with the M&E team.

•     Participate in cross-passage construction works(NATM/drill-and-blast) where required.

•     Submit daily/weekly progress reports and maintain site documentation.

Report to Tunnel Manager / Deputy Tunnel Manager / Senior Tunnel Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications / Job Experience:

•     Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline.

•     Minimum 8 years of hands-on tunnel construction experience.

•     Experience in Singapore bored tunnelling experience (Large diameter over 7m diameter) preferred.

•     Possession of Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course – Tunnelling (BCSS-T) or equivalent safety certification.

•     Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

•     Good command of written and spoken English for report writing and stakeholder coordination.

•     Willing to work on rotating shifts (Day/Night).
