Tunnel Engineer (East Side)

• East side project

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily tunnelling activities to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved construction methods.
• Monitor Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations, including excavation parameters, segment erection, grout injection, and ground settlement.
• Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and subcontractors to ensure tunnelling progress meets project milestones.
• Review construction drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures prior to execution.
• Monitor instrumentation and settlement data, ensuring compliance with LTA and project requirements.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues promptly to minimise construction delays.
• Ensure compliance with LTA specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate interface works with station, shaft, cross passage, and adjacent civil works.
• Attend technical, coordination, and client meetings with consultants and LTA representatives.
• Supervise subcontractors and site engineers to ensure productivity and workmanship.
• Support planning and sequencing of tunnelling works to achieve project milestones.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Singapore civil infrastructure projects.
